National EMS Memorial Bike Ride Visits Our Station

Tuesday, December 10, 2019
This morning we were proud to be able to host the National EMS Memorial Bike Ride for their breakfast today before taking the next leg of their ride. The Christiana Care Health System was sponsoring/hosting the local stop and needed a place to eat, so we were more than god to help! These riders are taking a 9-day trip from Boston, Massachusetts to National Harbor, Maryland that started on May 10, to honor all of the fallen EMTs, Paramedics, and EMS workers who have passed away over the past year, as well as recognize those who serve now. These riders make several stops over the days of riding to to recognize these heroes. All along their route, they are supported by local fire, rescue, and EMS agencies, along with a group of support vehicles to help with repairs, injuries, or fatigue. All those riding and staffing the support vehicles are volunteers. This is only one of the five rides that are held across the United States each year. For more information about the ride, and how you can participate or donate, visit http://www.muddyangels.org/
