Story Taken from Hockessin FC Website: Thursday, November 28, 2013 6:29am Fire struck the attic and roof portion of a Mushroom House along Valley Road in Hockessin early Thanksgiving morning. Dispatched as a working alarm, Deputy 19 arrived on the scene to report visible flames and requested an upgrade in the assignment. Units from Millcreek, Cranston Heights, Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder, Elsmere, and Avondale Fire Companies responded to the scene. Engine 19-5's crew quickly established a water supply and stretched hand lines into the structure and on the roof to attack the flames. The crews knocked it down quickly and damage was minimal to the structure.
