Residential Fire: Brack-Ex (Assist Elsmere FC)

On 12 January 2013 at 19:19 hours the Cranston Heights Fire Company (Station-14) along with other Mutual Aid Units, were dispatched via the NCC 911 Center to assist the Elsmere FC (Station-16) with an Engine (14-3) and Rescue-14 at a Residential Fire located in the 2200 block of Linkwood Avenue, in the development of Brack-Ex. Taken from Elesmere FC Website: "On Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 19:19 Hours the Elsmere Fire Company ( Station 16 ), along with Engine and Rescue 14 ( Cranston Heights ) and Engine and Ladder 17 ( Five Points), to a Residental fire in the 2200 block of Linkwood Avenue in Brack-Ex. Elsmere 2nd assistant chief Rich Rodriquez ( 168-C) arrived first and reported heay fire conditions in a single-story, frame structure. The alarm was re-dispatched as a working fire, adding Engine 30 ( Belvedere), Engine 2-21 ( Mill Creek ) and Rescue 23 ( Minquas of Newport) to the incident... Firefighters worked for approximatley 40 minutes to suppress the large volume of fire throughout the residence. 16-8 placed the fire under control just before 20:00 hrs. Also on scene were N.C.C Paramedics, N.C.C Police, State FirePolice and State FMO along with Staion 16 and 14 Ladies Auxiliary. Station 19 ( Hockessin ) provided coverage at Station 16 during the alarm. There were no injuries reported and the State FMO is investigating the cause of the fire. Units reponding were 16-8, 16-8C, 16-5 ,Ladder16, Rescue16, 16-1, 14-3, Rescue 14, 17-4 , Ladder17, S-30, 21-6 and 2-6, Rescue 23,Als 29 and F.M. 20. Station 16,14,17,30 and 2-21 fire police."
