On 22 October 2014 at 11:40 hours, the Cranston Heights Fire Company (Station-14) along with other Mutual Aid Units from New Castle County were dispatched to assist the Aetna H.H. & L. Company of Newark (Stations 7-8-9-10) with an Engine (14-3) and HazMat-14 for a "Working" Commercial Structure Fire involving Hazardous Materials, at the Drake Laboratory located at 160 Academy Street on the campus of the University of Delaware (Hitchens)
