On 21 February 2015 at 00:49 hours the Cranston Heights Fire Company (Station-14) along with other Mutual Aid Units were dispatched, via the NCC 911 Center, for an Engine (14-3) to assist the Elsmere FC (Station-16) on a "Working" Residential Fire located at 220 South Ford Avenue in Colonial Heights. Deputy-14 (Hawk) was first on-scene and reported the House to be "Fully Involved". Elsmere Fire Chief J. Facciolo (16-8) arrived almost immediately after and assumed Command of the Incident. He was followed by arriving units from the Elsmere FC, Engine 16-5 and Ladder-16, who were handling the "Duty Crew". The residence was determined to be Unoccupied and Under Renovation at the time of the fire. With this information, Chief Facciolo ordered an Exterior Attack Only with No Firefighters Entering the Structure. Companies operated for approximately two (2) hours and No Injuries were reported. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the incident. (Hitchens)
