On the evening of April 6th, after clearing 2 other calls assisting the Aetna H.H.&L. (Newark) and Mill Creek Fire Companies, Engine 14 was in the area of a vehicle fire after a motor vehicle crash on Limestone Road that Hockessin Fire Company was dispatched to. They were close enough and made the response to assist with a crew of 6. Crews arrived with a sedan that had a fire in the engine compartment. Fortunately, there were no injuries from the initial crash. Engine 14’s crew worked with Rescue Engine 19’s crew to contain the fire and begin clean up, before being released by 19-8.
