On April 30th, just before 3:30 pm, Rescue 14 and A14 responded assisting Elsmere Fire Company on an MVC with entrapment and multiple patients. Hockessin Fire Company Fire Chief, Rescue Engine 19, and A19 also responded with to assist. Elsmere’s units arrived finding multiple patients and one heavily trapped. Crews worked together over an extended time to free the patient who was transported along with New Castle County Paramedics to the hospital.
It’s times like these where our teamwork goes beyond station doors. It doesn’t matter the color of the trucks or the color of the gear. We are fortunate to have volunteers and career staff who can come together with a common goal to make a difference.
