Serious MVC on Lancaster Pike During the Morning Commute

This morning, 14-8 (Chief Sokira), 14-8C (Asst. Chief Hitchens) & Rescue 14 responded with 4 members to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on Lancaster Pike near Centerville Road.
Crews encountered a high velocity accident involving two pickup trucks with one occupant trapped under a vehicle and another patient trapped inside the second vehicle. Crews worked to remove the ejected occupant and the other patient trapped in their vehicle. Both patients were transported to a trauma center and units were in service for approximately an hour.
Hockessin Fire Company Ladder 19, Belvedere Fire Company B30 (Ambulance), New Castle County Paramedics ALS26 (Supervisor), Medic 3 & 7, and Delaware State Police Aviation Section Trooper 4 assisted on the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating the accident.
