Rescue assist to five points fire company for reported house fire

Just after 8 pm tonight, Rescue 14 and the Chief (14-8) responded to assist the Five Points Fire Company on a house fire reported with entrapment on Boxwood Road. Units quickly arrived, finding burnt food on the stove with two patients needing to be evaluated for burns. Crews assisted with cleanup after the situation was quickly placed under control. Two patients refused transport.

This should serve as a reminder to everyone about unattended cooking. It can cause small damage or large damage. But It can also cause injury. Please use caution and mind your cooking to avoid cooking fires.
