Assist to Mill Creek on an Early Morning Working Fire

Early this morning, Saturday October 1st around 12:45 am, Station 14 was dispatched to assist Mill Creek Fire Company for a house fire. Rescue 14 made the response with 6 personnel as well as Assistant Chief Swift (148B).
Mill Creek Chief Barone (21-8) arrived with fire showing from the rear and assumed the Mill Creek Command. Rescue 14 arrived and assumed the role of the first due special service, providing support in search and rescue, ventilation. Crews encountered an advanced fire on the back of the house.
Units were on scene for approximately 2 hours to bring the fire under control and check for any further extension. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
