Employment Opportunity - Full-time Career Position,  24/72 Rotating Shift

The Cranston Heights Fire Company No. l is seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time career position. 

This Opportunity will close Sunday, November 12th, 2023, at 1800 hours (6 PM). The Cranston Heights Fire Company (CHFC) is an all-hazards response company, providing fire, rescue, and  EMS services, as well as supporting the various special operations teams to New Castle County and the surrounding counties. As a full-time career employee of CHFC, you will be expected to obtain and recertify all certifications regarding such. The minimum and preferred requirements for employment are as follows:
Minimum (Equivalents considered)

• Basic Firefighting Skills
• Structural Firefighting Skills
• Hazardous Materials Response Skills
• Vehicle Rescue
• Crew Leader
• Driver/Operator
• NREMT
• EVO
• Five (5) years of Fire and EMS experience

Preferred
• NFPA Firefighter I & Il

The responsibilities of the Full-time Career Employees of the Cranston Heights Fire Company are as follows:

• Respond to all emergency incidents CHFC is dispatched to on respective apparatus, in any capacity needed.
• Backfill any unfilled EMS shift openings on your assigned shift (if needed).
• Light cleaning throughout the offices, quarters and apparatus bays.
• Perform any operational project assigned by the Chief.
• Light building maintenance.
• Light apparatus and equipment maintenance.
